Donington Park

Notes from the future : This was my second race in 2003, Silverstone was the week before but I’m yet to find anything about it in the archives.  So rather than get stuck on that I’ve decided to press on. The original article had no pictures, the one below is from Donington but not the right year…

Second in class by less than a second. Not bad at all, the car is running well so far, but Barry Blakely seems to have a much higher top speed than me, so we need twisty, stoppy starty places with lots of hard braking and quick acceleration to make the most of the 1500cc powerhouse.

I’ve been a bit lazy updating the site recently, so I can’t remember much about Donington apart from that it is an excellent drivers circuit and I did a very fancy overtaking manoeuvre at Redgate.

I make no apologies for not having any pictures though, I think the batteries out of our 10p digital camera must have been flat, or we forgot to take it. Will try harder next time. Promise.
