New year, new engine…
Well actually, two. I’ve spent the winter carefully rebuilding the small crank 1300 that I bought last year, so far everything has been going well and yesterday I actually got it fitted into the car!
Gently does it!

Let’s see how this one goes.. I’ve got quite a lot still to do before it’s running and I’ll try and document the build and the specs a bit more as time goes on.
I also picked up a complete and good condition 1500cc Spitfire engine from the UK over Christmas.

Once the car is back up and running I can begin stripping this down and build it up as a spare. I’m not yet sure if it’ll stay as a 1500 or I’ll look for a good condition large bearing 1300 crank.
