Triumph Gear Ratio / Speed calculator.
Whilst I was racing in the UK (i.e. 2000 to 2007) I used to use a calculator to toy with the idea of changing the differential ratio for different circuits and to see how much top end speed a few hundred extra revs would buy me.
Of course, I never did change the differential for different circuits but that’s beside the point. The calculator I used to use was hosted at mintylamb.co.uk (now gone), but it’s been down for a while now and, whilst there are plenty available online I was getting tired of entering the values for standard Triumph gearboxes and differentials manually – so I decided to recreate it (mostly, I haven’t yet done overdrive/5 speed boxes).
I’ve put it on it’s own page over here for now, I hope you find it useful (I already have..) https://richyrichracing.com/gear-ratio-speed-calculator-for-standard-triumph-drivelines/
